We proudly announce the availability of an optional Electronic Load Weigh system on all of our Kleeco hoists. This system is far superior to the hydraulic based systems common in the industry. It offers a digital read out and is not succeptible to the constant failures typically seen in the hydraulic system. In conjunction with our programmable control system, we can program the hoist to notify the operator when they reach pre determined lifting threshholds. We can also program the machine to reduce its travel speed when the load hits a certain percentage of capacity. This is a nice eonomical feature that can enhance safety in the operation of the hoist.

The Hoists are available with a fully remote control operating system with advanced systems of hydraulics and electronics augmenting the remote to make a very user friendly machine.

The hydraulic circuit is fully proportional and load sensing. The operator can command any speed from any function (within the limits of the machine) at any time. The system is load sensing which means that when there is no activity the system moves to a standby pressure of 300 psi. This is a great feature for the following reasons:

Reduced fuel consumption. The hoist will require less fuel as the engine is not driving the pump to full system pressure 100% of the time.

Reduced wear on components. All hydraulic components should see extended life because of the reduced pressure during idle time.

Reduced hydraulic oil temperatures. The oil is not circulated as vigorously thereby reducing operating temperature.

The transition from idle to full pressure is smooth and not detectable by the operator.

The electronic system on the hoist works in conjunction with the load sensing pump to add a smoother feel. The servo valves are operated by the microcontroller, which controls the functions on the valves. Advantages to this are as follows:

The computer controls the machine acceleration and deceleration functions. If an inexperienced operator were to command full speed from a dead stop, the machine would respond by accelerating at a programmed rate such that the load will not swing. The same care is taken in the programming of the deceleration functions. It is virtually impossible to cause the machine to lurch forward or back. This increases safety, decreases liability and is much more comfortable to control.

The joysticks are fully adjustable. A different adjustment range can be programmed for each function. The joysticks can also be programmed in reverse (i.e., pushing the stick up can cause the hoist to run up or down). This can all be programmed on site during the assembly to the new owner’s preference.

The machine is also equipped with manual overrides on all valves so that in the event of an electronic failure the machine is still fully operational.
