Kleeco Tripod Designed Boat Stands

Each Kleeco boat stand manufactured by Lake City Industries is stackable or nestable and tripod designed for the greatest stability. A sail boat stand is designed with an angled head and large surface bearing area to support the deeper hulls of sail boats. Each boat stand is constructed from solid coated metal rods with chrome plated screws that are designed to prevent rust. All of our boat stands have a large surface bearing area, to make it easier to stabilize and store your vessel.

The Kleeco sail boat stand line is available in four different sizes, from 36” to 84” in height. You can save money by ordering multiple boat stands at once! Be sure to use a minimum of five boat stands to properly support your sail boat during storage. If you have a larger sail boat, you should use two boat stands for every 8-10 feet of boat length. Do not use boat stands to suspend a boat in mid-air. Instead, use blocking along the centerline of the boat to rest all of the weight on. The boat stands are then used to balance and stabilize your boat. Never tie anything to your boat stands!

Directions for Setup and Placement

When setting up your stands, place the rear stands close to the outboard corners with the adjusting screw as perpendicular to the hull as possible. Place all stands with the point of the triangle facing away from the center of the boat. This permits placing dunnage under the tip of the base to conform the pad to the hull. If the ground is soft, be sure to use suitable dunnage, such as plywood, under the stands in order to get full contact with your boat. To position your stand against the hull, hold the screw with one hand, raise the screw with the pad to your boat hull, spin the wing nut with your other hand, and continue to tighten until desired tension is realized.
